We decided to try another pasticeria for the breakfast and went to Pasticceria Tonolo. This one was a bit more north than our place but well, the pastries were awesome! It was a bit crowded and we ended up at the bar by a nice Belgium couple, but we had a fresh orange juice, a really god hot chocolate and well, about a dozen pastries to share between us! If you want to have a nice breakfast or just some sweet snack, that is definitely the place to go! We walked from San Polo to Dorsoduro most of the morning and beginning of the afternoon, coming back through the Ponte dell’Accademia to come back to San Marco and visit the Palazzo Ducale late afternoon. It is quite impressive, especially the Sala del Maggior Consiglio, which as one of the biggest painting in the world which is 22 meter longs! After this we went to Enoteca al Volto for some nice cicchettis as we skipped lunch. After another walk around San Marco we went to dinner to Ristorante Terrazza Sommariva by the Rialto Bridge. The set-up is really nice, the food is alright with fairly small plates, but be careful on the bill, it is supposed to be all included (in Italy you often have to pay for the cover charge for example) I had over 10euros of extra charges, so had to go back in an ask, the waiter fainted ignorance. We then went back to the hotel after taking some photos of the Rialto bridge.
Le deuxième jour, nous sommes allez prendre le petit déjeuner à Pasticceria Tonolo. Cette fois-ci c’était super bon, nous avons pris une dizaine de cakes pour deux avec chocolats chauds et jus d’orange frais. Nous étions au bar à côté d’un petit couple de belges qui se déplacent spécialement ici pour le petit déjeuner. Un vrai régal ! Nous avons ensuite fait une longue promenade depuis San Polo vers Dorsoduro, la plupart de la matinée et une partie de l’après-midi. Nous somme ensuite retournés à San Marco par le pont Dell’Accademia pour visiter le Palais des Doges. Très impressionnant surtout la Salle du Grand Conseil avec ses tableaux de 22 mètres de long qui sont censé être les plus grands du monde ! Nous sommes retournés prendre un petit casse-croûte à Enoteca al Volto ayant sauté le déjeuner avant de continuer à se promener dans San Marco. Pour le diner nous sommes allez au Restaurant Terrazza Sommariva au pied du Pont du Rialto. Le cadre est vraiment sympa, la nourriture est potable bien que peu copieuse, par contre attention à la facture, ils ont tendance à rajouter le prix du couvert et du service alors qu’il y a bien précisé sur la devanture qu’ils sont compris ! Nous sommes ensuite retournés à l’hôtel après quelques photos.
